WHAT ARE PORCELAIN VENEERS?

Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin shells of porcelain custom designed to fit over the front of your teeth. They’re used to enhance the colour, shape, size, and symmetry of your smile. Whether you’re looking to fix chipped, discolored, slightly misaligned, or worn-down teeth, veneers offer a long-lasting, natural-looking solution for a complete smile transformation.

HOW MUCH DO VENEERS COST?

Veneer pricing can vary based on the dentist’s experience, location, and the quality of materials used. Typically, veneers range from $1000 to $3000+ per tooth. Most smile makeovers involve 8–10 veneers on the upper teeth, making total costs range between $8,000 and $24,000 or more.
At our office, porcelain veneers are $1,800 to $2,200 each. For example:
            •          8 veneers = approx. $14,400+
            •          10 veneers = approx. $18,000+
Since veneers are considered cosmetic, insurance doesn’t cover the cost. However, we offer third-party financing to help break payments into manageable monthly installments.

ARE VENEERS PERMANENT?

Yes, porcelain veneers are a long-term solution designed to enhance and transform your smile. They improve the colour, shape, alignment, and overall appearance of your teeth. They are also a great way to get a permanently white smile. Veneers are bonded permanently to your teeth and can last for many years with proper care. It’s important to note that the process is not reversible, so it should be considered a permanent cosmetic treatment.

DO ALL CELEBRITIES HAVE VENEERS?

Porcelain veneers are one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments among celebrities and influencers. They photograph beautifully, stay white over time, and resist staining. While some opt for a bold, bright “Hollywood” smile, others prefer a more subtle, natural look. Veneers are no longer just for the spotlight—more and more people are choosing them to enhance their smile. As a result, porcelain veneers have become the go-to solution for smile makeovers.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Do veneers ruin your teeth?

Porcelain veneers are designed to enhance your smile by improving the colour, shape, size, and alignment of your teeth. In most cases, a small amount of tooth structure must be removed to ensure a proper fit. However, when performed by a skilled Cosmetic Dentist, this process is conservative and minimally invasive. Choosing an experienced provider is key to preserving the health of your natural teeth while achieving beautiful, lasting results.

Once your veneers are in place, you’ll be able to eat and chew as you normally would without any problems. However, just as with natural teeth, there are certain habits you should avoid—such as using your teeth to open packages, biting on pen caps, or chewing your fingernails—to help protect your veneers and maintain their longevity.
When crafted and placed correctly, porcelain veneers are highly durable and unlikely to break easily. However, several factors influence their longevity, including whether the patient grinds their teeth, has a misaligned bite, or engages in habits that place excessive stress on the teeth—such as chewing on hard objects. A skilled Cosmetic Dentist will take these factors into account when designing the veneers and selecting the appropriate material to ensure long-term strength and performance.
There is little to no downtime after getting porcelain veneers. The experience is similar to having a dental filling or crown placed. Most patients are able to return to work the same day or the following day. Discomfort is typically minimal and can easily be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers such as Tylenol or Advil.
